Project Based Learning
01. Exploration
Introduction of the project topic. Generating curiosity.
02. Provocations
Stimulating engagement through intriguing questions, photos, videos, guest speakers, field trips, hand-on explorations related to the project.
03. Expression & Representation
In-Depth Inquiry: Collecting data, researching, exploring various resources. Express through creating models, artwork, reports, music and etc.
04. Documentation & Presentation
Involves recording and reviewing the learning process, which can be accomplished through writing or drawing related to the project.
05. Reflection
Think deeply about their learning experiences, challenges accomplishments and the entire progress.

Our Story
El Champ Preschool is a sanctuary of boundless potential, where every child is celebrated as a unique champion. With open spaces and a fluid learning environment, our school encourages exploration and creativity. Our educators, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, embrace an emergent curriculum, basing learning on the children’s interests. This fosters a love for learning, creative problem-solving and empowers children to find myriad solutions to every challenge.
At El Champ, we believe that imagination knows no bounds. Through activities like imaginative play, collaborative storytelling, and lively debates, we nurture wild imaginations that lead to innovative thinking. Our logo, open to various interpretations, reflects our belief that every obstacle is an opportunity for creative solutions. We host project showcases every four months, inviting parents to witness the incredible creations thatmemerge from the children’s curiosity and creativity.
Physical vitality is an integral part of our daily routine. Planned and spontaneous exercises help develop robust bodies and agile minds. We also prepare our 6-year-old champions for the next stage of their journey by inviting experienced Chinese primary school teachers in the afternoons. El Champ Preschool isn’t just a school; it’s a nurturing space where questions are treasures, curiosity is a compass, and every child is a champion poised for life’s adventures.
